The new Law also marks a somewhat revolutionary breakthrough for individual taxpayers in Ukraine, from setting new filing deadlines and terms for fines and penalties to ruling in favour of the taxpayer's position in case of tax disputes with the tax authorities. While the new Law, not surprisingly, contains certain inconsistencies in itself, overall, it kick starts changes to the better for individual taxpayers in Ukraine.
