PFTS trading session on October 24 was held under patronage of the great "minus" sign. Not only the trading volume slumped more than twenty five times to $43,171, we also saw serious downfall in both blue chip prices and, consequently, stock indexes. This day was the most rainy day in the history of the market, wasn't it? Or we haven't reached the bottom yet?

KRMZ) ($30,587; 216,002 shares), which brought most of the trading volume (70.85%), Monomakh (470 shares of the initial issue (MONM), $1,038; IPO of the second share issue (IPMON) -- 100 shares, $189), and Centrenergo (CEEN) ($6,029.; 187,000 shares), Ukrnafta (UNAF) ($3,610; 1,100 shares), Zakhidenergo (ZAEN) ($1,152; 1,000 shares), and Donbasenergo (DOEN) ($566; 1,000 shares). As blue chip bids got accepted, the transaction prices and the best (max) bids went down sharply by the end of the session.

UNAF) (which is the most liquid issue on today's market) quotations also fell noticeably (max bid -7.69%; min ask -7.37%; quoted price -5.92%). Spread for Donbasenergo and Dniproenergo (DNEN) expanded due to a rise (as the sellers who had been maintaining the min asks "left" the market) in their min asks (+28.63% and +45.06%, respectively) also.

Stock indexes fell dramatically. The KINDEX LIQUID lost 4.68% to 51.68 (we only saw it lower than that (51.65) on March 25, 1999). Centrenergo was its component that posted the biggest loss in the quoted price (-18.26%), while Donbasenergo was the top gainer (+2.91%).
