Daily Market Review (25-Dec-01) by KINTO Investments & Securities

The December 25 trading session on the PFTS was rather vivacious, as many various securities got traded (a reader knows that the end of the month, let alone the end of the year, comes and brings a splash in the traders' activity). Despite this 'positive' fact, total trading volume decreased almost twofold to $4.709 million.

CHON) ($229,881; 1,632,000 shares; Last Price plunged 25.33%), Khmelnytskoblenergo (HMON) ($216,417; 1,096,000 shares; Last Price added 24.23%), and Ukrnafta (UNAF) ($204,792; 57,000 shares; Last Price climbed 27.41%).

KIEN) ($123,378; 278,000 shares; Last Price dipped 52.57%), Dniproenergo (DNEN) ($100,776; 20,000 shares; Last Price slumped 74.79%), and Centrenergo (CEEN) ($20,111; 550,000 shares; Last Price rose 9.50%) got traded this session.

KRMZ) (summarizing four blocks sold during the session one can get the total figure of 43.51% (!) of the issue's charter fund), Bank Aval (BAVL), Lvivgas (LGAZ), Ukrrichflot (FLOT), Motor Sich (MSICH), Dniprodzerzhynsk Car Repair Plant (DARZ) (the issue was traded for the first time on the PFTS; 17.54% of the charter fund changed hands in one block), Slavutich Brewery (SLAV), and Monomakh (MONM).

Note, that a strong fluctuation of transaction prices was registered practically for all mentioned issues in comparison with previous days. Despite this fact, all prices stood within the market range, i.e. they remained in respective PFTS quotation spreads.
